A lot of people have expressed an interest in camping in the California Delta, whether in a recreational vehicle or tent camping while exploring the Delta by boat. Most of the islands in the Delta are privately owned, so setting up camp wherever you stop for the evening is not a possibility. However, there are many resorts and marinas that provide an area for camping. Services range from a grassy area to set up a tent to luxurious accommodations with full RV hook-ups and almost every convenience imaginable in the camping environment. And, of course, since most are marinas, they offer water access for your boat, with guest docking and/or launch ramps. Some may require reservations, so it is best to call in advance of your trip to make arrangements for your stay.
